Make your holiday something special and start the morning in the company of deer

At the foothills of Olimska gora, a mere 4.5 km from the Terme Olimia resort stands the Jelenov greben, where the main attraction is a heard of some 100 deer and moufflons, who roam around freely and whom you may feed corn and see from up close.

When the fresh mountain air will make you sleepy, you may stay the night in several accommodation units. In addition to rooms, the Karolina and Rebeka guesthouses also feature the Lara Wellness Centre and the Rebeka Massage Parlour, both featuring modern equipment. The price of accommodation in the Rebeka and Karolina guesthouses also includes unlimited use of the Lara Wellness Centre, fresh fruits, bathrobes and towels.

The Jelenov greben complex offers its guests some new additions: the »Čajnica« teashop, which offers exclusively homemade produce, and the »Pod grebenom« guesthouse with ten beds.

They have not forgotten about the youngest of guests as they will be catered for by new recreational equipment, playground, climbing wall, multi-level sandbox, swings, slide and waterfall.

All accommodation units feature and area with a sofa and satellite flat-screen TV, en-suite bathroom with shower, hair dryer and free vanity and cosmetics set. Some units feature a small kitchen and some have a balcony.

The Jelenov greben complex consists of several accommodation facilities:

Penzion Rebeka (guesthouse) ***
The "Rebeka" guesthouse contains 9 double rooms. All rooms have a matrimonial bed, an en-suite bathroom with shower, WC and hair dryer. Four rooms are on the ground floor and five on the first, the latter have a balcony. You may choose between a view over the village of Olimje or the golf course. The anteroom also has a wardrobe.

Penzion Karolina (guesthouse)***
The "Karolina" guesthouse contains 2 double rooms on the first floor (no balcony) and 3 apartments (2 with balcony). The apartments have a bedroom with a matrimonial bed, bathroom with a shower, WC and hair dryer, while the sofa in the living room can be transformed into a bed for 2 further persons.

The apartment also contains a kitchen with the equipment needed to prepare a meal (stove, pots and pans, crockery, kitchen sink, fridge).  The anteroom also has a wardrobe. Also available are an iron and ironing board.

Penzion Pod grebenom (guesthouse)***
The Pod grebenom guesthouse contains 5 double rooms, every single one with a matrimonial bed and en-suite bathroom with WC and hair dryer. Two rooms overlook the Jelenov greben estate, two the church and monastery at Olimje and one the neighbouring farm. All rooms contain a fridge. Underneath them is a vintage café.

Recreational sports and exploration of the area

The estate is home to free roaming wild deer whom you may feed and pet. The monastery with Europe’s third oldest pharmacy is only 350 m away, while the chocolate factory is 400 m from the estate. A kilometre’s walk takes you to the Fairy tale and fantasy land for children, hidden away in the forest.

Additional offer

The small shop “Zlata skrinjica” (‘Gold chest’) and 1001 ideja (1001 idea), due to which you will keep fond memories of Olimje, allows you to purchase venison salami, locally produced honey with walnuts and hazelnuts, apple juice and vinegar, brandy, jams, bottled premium wines and engraved souvenirs. 

You will also love the restaurant with excellent venison and mushroom specialties and homemade dessert. There are 200 seats under the hayrack, which can be used for wedding receptions and private functions. The estate is also proud of its exceptional wine list that offers the most prestigious labels from across Slovenia.

A specialty of Jelenov greben is also a huge dome, the Planetarij Odiseja (Odyssey Planetarium) or 360° spherical cinema, where you may see the projection of an exciting journey through outer space.

In addition to the accommodation facilities, the estate also features the »Star' ata« (‘Grandpa’) wine shop that offers the possibility of wine tasting, a souvenir shop and pastry shop, and they also do a free guided toue of the estate and its surroundings.

In addition to the sightseeing and feeing the deer and moufflons, you have numerous other activities at your disposal: seeing the land from the bird’s eye view – a hot air balloon flight, bike rental, massages on request.
